Nia DaCosta born November 8 1989 is an American screenwriter and director She is known for her breakout film Little Woods 2018 the supernatural horror legacy sequel Candyman 2021 and the MCU superhero film The Marvels 2023 which continues the stories of characters introduced in the film Captain Marvel and the Disney shows WandaVision and Ms Marvel
