Cheryl Thompson

Dr Cheryl Thompson is an Assistant Professor at Ryerson University in the School of Creative Industries She is also a member of The Yeates School of Graduate Studies and the Graduate Program in Communication Culture where she also earned my MA in 2007 Her first book Beauty in a Box Detangling the Roots of Canadas Black Beauty Culture was published by Wilfrid Laurier Press in 2019 Her next book Uncle Race Nostalgia and the Politics of Loyalty was published in February 2021 by Coach House Books
