Andrew Scott born October 21 1976 is an Irish actor He made his first appearance on television in an advertisement for a brand of porridge at the age of 6 He received the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Performance in an Affiliated Theater for the play A Girl in a Car with a Man at Jerwood Theater Upstairs and the Irish Film and Television Award for Best Actor for the film Dead Bodies He is best known for his role as Lieutenant Leslie in 1917 2019 and Adam in All of us Strangers 2023 For the latter he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor In November 2013 he announced that he was gay Scott was ranked at No 22 on The Independents Rainbow List 2014
