A multiple awardwinning producer writer and director for film television and theatre Teong Hin cowrote and directed Puteri Gunung Ledang the first Malaysian film invited to the Venice International Film Festival and submitted for Academy Awards Given his wideranging interests he went from historical epic to romantic comedy musical sports and political films as well as the first Penang Hokkien feature film You Mean The World To Me For theatre Teong Hin cowrote the book for Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical He staged sitespecific shows for George Town Festival Emily of Emerald Hill Silat and You Mean The World To Me And the musical Chow Kit Road Chow Kit Road at the Istana Budaya Teong Hin directed limited series Tangkal Besi and the web series Inikah Cinta and produced Tastemakers He was the creative director for the 29th SEA Games 9th ASEAN Para Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies
