Nicolas Winding Refn born 29 September 1970 is a Danish film director screenwriter and producer He is known for directing the crime dramas Bleeder 1999 and the Pusher films 19962005 the fictionalised biographical film Bronson 2008 the dramatic adventure film Valhalla Rising 2009 the neonoir crime film Drive 2011 the thriller Only God Forgives 2013 and the psychological horror film The Neon Demon 2016 In 2008 Refn cofounded the Copenhagenbased production company Space Rocket Nation
