Tom Burlinson born 14 February 1956 is a Canadianborn Australian actor and singer His English parents had migrated to Canada after World War II The family transferred to New Jersey in 1958 and Tom was the typical allAmerican youngster with the Little League baseball cap striped Tshirt and turnedup jeans In 1962 the family transferred to England with the fathers job and young Tom went to school with a North American accent In 1965 just before Tom turned 10 the family transferred again this time to Australia After six months his parents divorced and his mother and two younger sisters went back to England leaving him with dad and his older sister After graduating from NIDA in 1976 he appeared in several television shows before landing the title role in the bigbudget movie The Man from Snowy River 1982 Since then he has always put in fine performances deviding his career between Australia and United States on stage often performing his Frank Sinatra tribute show He has been married to singerdancer Mandy Carnie since 1996 and they have three children
