Marcus Miller

William Henry Marcus Miller Jr more commonly known as Marcus Miller is a multiinstrumentalist producer and composer but is best known for playing the bass guitar Born June 14 1959 in Brooklyn New York he grew up in a family of musicians specifically his father William Miller a church organist and his cousin jazz pianist Wynton Kelly Miller plays guitar saxophone bass keyboards clarinet and the recorder Starting in 1975 he performed as a session musician for 15 years eventually playing the bass on over 500 recordings He also currently records and tours as a bandleader
