Thengai Srinivasan 21 October 1937  9 November 1988 was an Indian actor and popular comedian who appeared in Tamillanguage films in the 1970s and early 1980s He was given the title Thengai coconut after his role as a coconutseller in the drama Kal Manam staged by actor K Kannan Although originally a comedian he also performed in other genres and enacted several lead and antagonistic roles
