From Wikipedia the free encyclopedia Alta Allen born Alta Crowin September 6 1904 July 24 1998 was an American actress Allen made her first professional stage performance when she was ten In 1920 she signed a contract with Fox Film Corporation although she would only perform one role in any silent film released by Fox Film She would subsequently sign a contract with Universal Studios and later appeared in several films released by this corporation Her final credited screen appearance occurred in 1926 Alta Allen died in 1998 at age 93 The indicated birth and death dates are per Wikipedia Other sources differ significantly Which dates are accurate is not clear
