Elizabeth Lawrence September 6 1922 June 11 2000 was an American actress best known for her longrunning role as Myra Murdock Sloane in the soap opera All My Children from 19791991 She had roles in other soap operas Guiding Light As the World Turns A World Apart and The Road of Life She is also known for her roles as Chloe Williams blind mother of Julia Roberts character Laura Burney in Sleeping with the Enemy 1991 Mrs Blair in Were No Angels with Robert DeNiro Sean Penn and Demi Moore Rebecca Nurse in The Crucible 1996 and the school nurse in Unbreakable 2000 released the year of her death
