Barry Morrow born June 12 1948 is an Academy Awardwinning American screenwriter and producer He wrote the story and cowrote the screenplay for Rain Man Morrow was born in Austin Minnesota He studied at St Olaf College leaving in 1970 one credit short of graduation After submitting his screenplay of Rain Man for independent study credit he received his degree in 1989
