Misha Collins born Dmitri Tippens Krushnic on August 20 1974 is an American actor producer director and New York Times BestSelling author He is best known for his role as the angel Castiel on the CW television series Supernatural and for his activism and philanthropy He is the cofounder and board president of Random Acts a nonprofit organization as well as the founder of GISH The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt known for their charity donations and Guinness World Records His most recent projects include a poetry book titled Some Things I Still Cant Tell You being the host and executive producer of the PBS show Roadfood Discovering America One Dish at a Time and the fiction podcast Bridgewater where he is an executive producer and stars as Jeremy Bradshaw He has been cast as Harvey DentTwoFace in the CWs upcoming DC show Gotham Knights
