Austin transferred to USCs School of Cinematic Arts after saving up enough tips slinging waffle cones at Baskin Robbins Out of school he received studio feature experience as a Directors Assistant for David O Russell Joy and Susanne Bier Bird Box In addition to directing his own work for SyFy All Def Funny Or Die Universal Music Group VEVO and Comedy Central he has a written multiple features with one currently in preproduciton with Balcony 9 and Producer Cassian Elwes He represented by Mosaic and Fox Rothschild Onward Upward
