Michelle Holmes was born on January 1 1967 in Rochdale as Corinne Michelle Cunliffe She is an actress She is best known for her breakout role as Sue in Alan Clarkes 1987 film Rita Sue and Bob Too She played Rovers barmaid Tina Fowler in Coronation Street from 19891990 and has followed this up with roles in two other major soaps Emmerdale in 1995 and Hollyoaks from 20172018 Her other credits include Common as Muck 19941997 Goodnight Sweetheart 19931996 Merseybeat 20012003 and Above Suspicion 20092012 She was previously married to Mark OHanlon and performed in the pop group The Dunky Dobbers alongside fellow Lancashire actress Sue Devaney
