Vivian Qu was born in Beijing China She is a director writer and producer known for Trap Street 2013 Black Coal Thin Ice 2014 and Angels Wear White 2017 She is the first woman director to ever win Best Director at both the Golden Horse Awards and the China Film Directors Guild Awards
