Kyrie Andrew Irving born March 23 1992 is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association NBA Irving grew up in West Orange New Jersey and attended Duke University After one season he declared for the NBA draft and was selected with the first overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2011 He is known as one of the best ballhandlers in the history of the NBA and one of the best point guards of the 21st century
