Baalaji was born in Madurai and completed Masters degree in Molecular Virology and has worked as research fellow in few reputed institutions in Chennai Later when he found his interest towards cinema he acted in a short film titled 2 idli 2 vadai for a competitive show Naalaiya Iyakkunar in Kalaignar Tv In addition to this Baalaji completed an acting course in Raging Bull Acting Studio to take it up as his profession He then worked as an Associate Director with Director S U Arunkumar for the film Sindhubaadh in 2019 Starring Vijay Sethupathi Furthermore he debuted as an actor in the feature film Chithha 2023 starring Siddharth He is expected to appear in Veera Dheera Sooran starring Chiyaan Vikram
