Marilee Talkington shethey is an award winning actor artist writer director creator educator consultant disability advocate and activist She holds an MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater ACT and received the Carol Channing Trouper Award for Excellence and Dedication in the Craft upon graduation Marilee has been advocating for herself for nearly 20 years as a disabled performer and began advocating for the blindlow vision and disabled community on the national level in 2018 In 2019 she founded Access Acting Academy a 1stofitskind actor studio specifically for blind and low vision actors for which she innovated a leadingedge pedagogical approach to actor training rooted in her AntiAbleist and NonVisually Biased teachings
