Crystal is a native of Martin TN She attended the University of Tennessee at Martin received a bachelors degree in Mass CommunicationsPublic Relations Upon graduating she moved to Washington DC to work for the United States Senate In 2010 she decided to move to Atlanta to pursue a career in music and acting In 2011 Oscar Award Winning Matthew Cherry gave Hayslett her first speaking role in his short film This Time She also made appearances on BETs The Game and Stomp The Yard 2 In 2013 she started working at Tyler Perry Studios in the Costume Department In 2015 she became the studios Costume Designer and personal stylist to Tyler Perry which lead to consultant producing and guest starring in Perrys new hit show Sistas As the series announced season two Hayslett is now a series regular
