Caine meets Logan McBurney, a Scotsman who has hijacked a gold-transporting stagecoach named Old Ironsides, to haul an enormous box that he claims is his dead Sioux wifes coffin. Along the way to the burial ground, which is on Sioux land, Caine remembers times in the monastery, unaware that several robbers are following closely, hoping to take Old Ironsides for themselves.
